Racers in First Place after First Round of Citrus Challenge

The Murray State women's golf team carded a 287 at the Spring Citrus Challenge in Sorrento, Florida to take a 10-shot lead after one round. The Racers are the only team under par at minus-1.
MSU has four players in the top ten led by Anna Moore who is currently tied for the lead at 2-under. Linette Holmslykke is also under par at 1-under while Raeysha Surendran and Jane Watts are tied for fifth at 1-over. Sarah McDowell is tied for 26th after shooting a 6-over 78. Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria competed as an individual and is currently tied for 47th at 10-over.
The field includes two other OVC teams in Morehead State, who is the host, and Austin Peay. After one round, the Eagles are in eighth at 26-over while the Governors sit in fourth place at 15-over.
The Red Tail course plays to a par-72 and a length of 5,929 yards. The second round will begin tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m.
