Gilmore Named to OVC All-Tournament Team

Sophomore Sierra Gilmore was named to the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference All-Tournament Softball Team for her performances in Murray State's pair of contests at this year's tournament in Oxford, Alabama earlier this week.
The Williamsburg, Indiana native collected four hits over the two competitions, scoring a run and driving in another to lead the Racers in their return to the conference tournament.
Her outstanding play over the last week capped a season that saw her finish tied for the team lead with 33 runs scored, while going a perfect eight-for-eight in stolen base attempts on the year.
A reliable shortstop on the defensive side of the ball, Gilmore recorded 70 putouts while assisting on 100 more to anchor the Racer infield in 2019.
Gilmore becomes the 13th player in program history to be chosen as an OVC All-Tournament selection.
