Final Results

Avery Edwards posted the Murray State men's golf team best finish Sunday at the EKU Intercollegiate Eastern Kentucky University Club at Arlington.

Edwards came home with a 13^th place finish in the field of 74 competitors after he carded scores of 73-70-69=212.

Connor Coombs placed 35^th on scores of 72-79-67=218, while James Boone was 58^th on rounds of 77-75-75=227. Dalton Bagwell and Justin Wendling shared 63^rd place. Bagwell had rounds of 74-77-79=230 and Wendling 78-75-77=230.

Freshman Walker Beck continued his hot start to his MSU career with an 18^th place finish on scores of 76-64-74=214. His second round 6-under-64 was the lowest round of the 54-hole event.

The Racers placed 11^th on scores of 296-297-288=881. The team winner was Northern Kentucky (84) with a three-shot win over UT Martin (847). The rest of the top-5 included Morehead State (851), Bowling Green (857) and Eastern Kentucky (859).

NKU's Joseph Clark and Avery Green shared medalist honors each with a score of 208.

The University Club played to a par of 70 and a length of 6,623 yards.

Next up for the Racer is an appearance at the Derek Donlenc Invitational (Sept. 23-24) at Gateway National Golf Club in Madison, Illinois.
