Racer Golf Welcomes Cunningham & Limberg

Murray State men's golf coach Eddie Hunt announced his recruiting class of 2020 for the Racers.

The pair of signees will be freshman in the fall of 2021. Kamaren Cunningham, comes to MSU out of Stewart County High School in Dover, Tennessee and Derek Limberg, from Prospect, Kentucky joins the Racers from Trinity High School.

"I am thrilled to have Kamaren and Derek become part of our program at Murray State," said Coach Hunt. "Both are accomplished players and have excellent work ethics. They have a bright future as Racers."

Kamaren Cunningham – Stewart County HS
Out of Dover, Tennessee, Cunningham was a six-time event winner in his senior season of 2019-20 for Stewart County High School. Cunningham won the Hurricane Tour Junior Open and the USJGT Nashville Shootout. He also qualified for the Tennessee High School State Tournament where he finished sixth.

In the summer of 2020, Cunningham qualified and competed in the Tennessee State Amateur.

Cunningham had a 74.4 scoring average in 2019 and a state ranking of 82.

Derek Limberg – Trinity HS
From Prospect, Ky., Limberg joins the Racers after a stellar prep career at Trinity High School in Louisville where he had six top-10 and three top-5 finishes in his senior year of 2019-20.

Limberg was All-Region 6 and part of Trinity's 2020 Kentucky State Tournament championship team.

Limberg won the 2020 Shamrock Invitational title with a score of 69 and he won the Calloway Junior Four Ball Team title with scores of 66-65.
