Ticket Office Hours Increased Ahead of Murray State Showdown With APSU
2/28/2020 11:06:00 AM | Men's Basketball
The final regular season home basketball games for the Murray State Racers are Saturday at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.
A championship is on the line as the Racer men's team hosts the Austin Peay Governors, as the two are tied with Belmont for the top spot in the Ohio Valley Conference with one game to play.
Because of the tremendous interest this rivalry game creates, the CFSB Center ticket office is increasing its hours of operation on game day. The office will be open Friday (Feb. 28) until 4:30 and reopen Saturday (Feb. 29) at 10 a.m. and so will the ticket phone line at (270) 809-3000. Tickets may be purchased all day leading up the doubleheader day between the Racers and Govs. The women's game starts at 5 p.m. with the men's game scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip. Tickets can be purchased anytime from Ticketmaster.com.
When fans come to the games Saturday, they will see many activities around the final regular season day at The Bank.
Racer fans have flocked to the CFSB Center in record-breaking numbers in the last two seasons. In 2019, the Belmont game produced a crowd of 8,969, which was the largest at the CFSB Center since 2012. The record was topped when MSU hosted Austin Peay last March with an attendance of 9,012. Four of the top-11 crowds in the 22 seasons of the CFSB Center have come in the last two seasons.
In 2019, Racer fans helped set two Ohio Valley Conference Tournament attendance records at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. In the semifinal game with Jacksonville State, a record 8,294 watched and two days later in the championship game with Belmont, another record crowd of 10,525 watched the Racers advance to their 17th NCAA Tournament appearance.
The OVC is there next week and Racer fans will be making an impact at the turnstiles again. The Ford Center wants to remind fans of the list of prohibited items and Clear Bag Policy.
