Surendran Leads Racers At Kiawah Island In Round Two

The Murray State women's golf team improved six shots Monday in the second round of the Kiawah Island Classic in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

The Racers were 32nd after posting scores of 313-307=620, were ahead of Dayton (623) and Winthrop (624), and just behind Youngstown State (619),
Oakland (619) and Longwood (620).

Raeysha Surendran was the big mover for the Racers as she started the day in 87th and ended the day in 40th place after scores of 76-72=148. Other MSU scores and standings included Eliza Kho in 69th place on scores of 74-77=151 and Payton Carter in 159th place on scores of 78-81=159. Lucila
Puente Rodriguez de Austria was in 200th position on rounds of 85-77-162 and Charli Doss was in 238th place on scores of 87-82=169

The Racers will play at the Oak Point course in Tuesday's final round. Oak Point is a par 72 and plays to 5,977 yards.
