Surendran Honored As OVC Golfer Of The Week

Murray State senior Raeysha Surendran, was named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week Wednesday by the league office in Brentwood, Tennessee.Surendran, out of Selangor, Malaysia, finished 12th out of 264 golfers at the Kiawah Island Classic held at the Osprey Golf Club in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. The senior carded rounds of 76-72-68 to finish at 216 (even par). There were 53 total teams at the tournament.
Surendran currently ranks first in the OVC in stroke average (73.5).
This is the second weekly honor for Surendran after she was named to the award on Oct. 9.
The next challenge for the Racers is at the UNF Collegiate (March 9-10) at the Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
