6/12/2020 3:32:00 PM | General
Director of multimedia and production Scott Kopacz joins Parker Griffith on the latest "Behind The Scenes Edition" of "2-Minute Drill" for an inside look at his job and experiences. In addition to the above video, check out below as we take off the timer and give Scott three more questions in a GoRacers.com exclusive, "2-Minute Drill: Overtime"
Overtime With Scott Kopacz
1. Were you a student-athlete in high school or college, if so what sport(s)?
In high school, I played football all four year, wasn't particularly good at it. I also swam my last three years and I was pretty good at that. There, I followed in the footsteps of my brother who went on to swim at Iowa. In college, I still loved playing football, so I joined our club tackle football team at DePaul for my senior year. That group of friends remain some of the closest that I have to this day.
2. If you could switch jobs with anyone in our department who would it be?
I have actually thought about this and it would be, football strength coach John Michael Clay. I have always enjoyed weight lifting. I have always looked at that as something I do well at because it is something that is interesting to me. Just going through the ins and outs of health and what workouts work best for people. I know what works for me, so it would just be interesting the same thing for not just one other person but a whole team. Plus, I think I'd do pretty well getting, at least the football guys, amped up to do workouts, especially deadlifts and all that stuff.
3. What do you hope your co-workers say about you after you are gone?
I would hope they would point to me as an example of someone who really enjoys their job and shows up to work loving what they do and showing passion in what they do. I hope that whenever that time may be, they use me as an example of someone who enjoyed their work and that did not feel like it was just a job and that every day I showed up and did what I Ioved.
