22 Racers Earn OVC Medal Of Honor Award

The Ohio Valley Conference announced 22 Murray State student-athletes who earned the OVC's Academic Medal of Honor for the 2019-20 academic year.

The OVC Academic Medal of Honor is given annually to the student-athletes who achieve the highest grade point average in a Conference-sponsored sport. Every Academic Medal of Honor recipient for the 2019-20 academic year carried a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

The Racers' 25 honors came from 22Â individuals from 11 sports.

The OVC announced a record 286 student-athletes who were honored. Over the past five years there have been 1,271 student-athletes earn the OVC Academic Medal of Honor conference-wide.
Â
The OVC will announce the recipients of the Commissioner's Honor Roll, the Academic Achievement Award and the Team
Academic Achievement Awards later this week.
Â
First given after the 1993-94 school year, the Racers now have 279 total OVC Medal of Honor Winners in the 27 years the award has been given.
