Racers Sixth - Ana Picchi 15th At APSU Intercollegiate

The Racers take on Legacy Golf Course in Springfield, Tenn.
The Murray State women's golf team had a spot in sixth place and Ana Picchi was in 15th place after 36 holes of competition at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate at The Legacy Golf Club in Springfield, Tennessee.

The Racers carded a 313 in the morning round, but shaved 14 shots in the afternoon to post a 299 for a spot in sixth place at 612, just one shot from Indiana State (611) and three shots behind Western Carolina (608).

MSU sophomore, Ana Picchi, was the Racers' top performer with a spot in 15th place on scores of 75-76=151. Alma Garcia and Emmie Eriksson shared 19th place. Garcia carded scores of 79-75=154, while Eriksson had scores of 81-73=154. Payton Carter had a spot in 29th position after scores of 814-75=159 and Eliza Mae Kho was in 40th place on scores of 78-84=162.

MSU's Lauren Gilchrist is fourth among eight solo players after rounds of 81-81-162.

Jacksonville State (594) was the leader with Belmont (596) in second place and Austin Peay (600) in third place.

There was a three-way tie for the medalist prize between Delia Gibbs and Kendall Maynard of Belmont and Austin Peay's Erica Scutt at 145.

Legacy GC is playing to a par-72 and a length of 6,161 yards.
