Murray State tied for the fourth-most players to receive All-Conference honors in program history.
Six Murray State women's soccer players received Missouri Valley All-Conference recognitions for the 2023 season, the league office announced Wednesday night.
The six Racers named to All-Conference is the most for Murray State since the 2020 season (7) and tied for the fourth-most honorees to receive the honors in program history. MSU had seven All-Conference members in three different seasons (2008, 2017, 2021) and had six in 2001.
"I'm really proud of this team and very happy for the six that were named to All-MVC teams," head coach Matt Lodge said.
Mary Hardy, Hailey Cole, Audrey Henry, Tori Schrimpf, Kate Stordy and Griselda Revolorio were this year's All-Conference recipients.
Hardy, a sophomore native to Ballwin, Missouri, was named to an All-Conference team for the second-straight season, receiving 2023 First Team honors. She was named to the All-Freshman team in 2022.
Hardy was the Racers' top scorer this season with eight goals and led the team in assists with three, totaling 19 points. She was tied for the second-most goals in the league at the time of release.
Cole received Second Team recognitions for her performance this year, leading the team in game winners and having the only multi-goal game for MSU. The senior from Nicholasville, Kentucky had the second-most goals (4) and points (10) behind Hardy.
Her four goals were the most she had scored in a single season, while her 10 points ties her career-high in a single season (2021). Cole was also named MVC Player of the Week in October.
Henry and Schrimpf both received Third Team All-Conference honors for this season's play. Henry has played the third-most career minutes (6,469) in program history and received her second-career All-Conference recognition.
The senior Nicholasville, Kentucky native also holds the single-season record for minutes played with 2,000. Henry had two assists on the year, one of which was credited to Cole's game winner over UT Martin and was named MVC Defender of the Week in late September.
Schrimpf received All-Conference honors for the first time in her career. She appeared in all 20 matches while starting in 18 of them and was not subbed off the pitch in the last six matches of the season and eight of the last 10.
Henry and Schrimpf both were also MVC All-Tournament honorees in 2022.
Stordy and Revolorio were both recognized as MVC All-Freshman Team members. Both players were key factors in six of the seven clean sheets for Murray State this year.
Stordy made 11 starts in 15 appearances, playing full time in nine of those starts. She put four of her seven shots on target and amassed over 900 minutes in her first year of collegiate soccer.
Revolorio was a two-time MVC Goalkeeper of the Week this season, starting in 13 of her 16 appearances. She posted 0.61 goals against average with a .877 save percentage in her freshman year. Her 0.61 goals against average breaks the program record for the lowest GAA in a single season (Alex Steigerwald, 0.64, 2015).
"It's great to see Audrey Henry leave her mark on the program by making All-Conference," Lodge added. "Mary Hardy and Hailey Cole continue their dominance in the midfield. Big shoutout to our two freshmen, Kate and Gigi, for starting off their careers in fantastic form. Finally, I am happy to see Tori get the recognition she deserves from sitting midfield. The future is bright!"
