McCullough Earns MVC Player of the Week Honors

After hitting .667 for the week with an on-base percentage over .700, McCullough was tabbed at POTW

Brennan McCullough put on a show for the Racers as he led Murray State to a 3-0 week with wins over Austin Peay and Valparaiso. The graduate student hit .667 for the week, going 8-for-12 with a double and two home runs including a game-tying blast against APSU. In Murray State's first game against Valpo, McCullough went 4-for-4 while reaching base six times in the contest. For the week, the first baseman earned a 1.956 OPS with an on-base percentage over .700.

For the season, the Oxford, Alabama native is hitting .317 for the year with 12 extra-base hits while leading MSU with a .535 slugging percentage.

The Racers are back in action on Tuesday when they host Southeast Missouri at Johnny Reagan Field. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
