Wellman Leads Racers at Marshall in Day One

The fall season got underway Monday morning a fog delay in the West Virginia mountains finally gave way to competition for the Murray State Racers at the at Guyan Golf & Country Club, at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational, in Barboursville.

Jakob Wellman, a sophomore, carded a 3-under-par 68 in the morning round to set his career-low round at Murray State. Coupled with his afternoon 73, put him in 23^rd place with a 141 total.

The Racers carded team scores of 287-287=574 and were in 10^th place.

The final round begins with a shotgun start Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
