Lewis & Nimmo Lead Racers at Gateway

Trey Lewis led the Murray State Racers after the first 36 holes of the SIUE Derek Dolenc Invitational Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois.of

Lewis carded scores of 69-72=141 and had a spot in 23^rd place in the field of 88 players.

Murray State's Jay Nimmo carded a 4-under-par 67 in the second round Monday and was in 30^th place after making 10 birdies in the two rounds the day.

The 54-hole event calls for 36 holes of play Monday with the final 18 holes is played at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

The SIUE tournament is named in honor of Derek Dolenc, who was student-athlete in the golf program at SIUE in 1982 and passed away in 1991.
