Racers Second at The Robbie After First 18 – Scherer Third

The Racers are playing their final fall event at Hampton Cove GC in Northeast Alabama
The Murray State women's golf team began the final event of their fall season at The Robbie, at Hampton Cove GC in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama.
The Racers carded an opening round 302 and had a spot in second place behind Louisville at 293.
Ella Scherer had the honors of round one with the Racers' best score with a 1-over-par 73. She was two shots off the lead of Louisville's Gabbi Bentancourt who posted a 2-under-par 70.
The Hampton Cove Golf Club is a place that has been good to the Racers having won Ohio Valley Conference championships there in 2017 and 2018.
