Racer Golf Signs Four For 2024

Murray State women's golf coach Philip Nelson announced the signing of four recruits that arrive in the fall of 2024 as freshmen with the Racers.

The four new additions include Alyvia Boddie (Ocoee, Fla.), Jadyn Gracie (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), Elin Tynan (Pontyclun, Wales) and Tina Von Arx (Solothurn, Switzerland).

Alyvia Boddie – Ocoee, Florida

Won Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Holiday Classic 2023
Placed 3rd at Top 50 Tour 2023 National Championship
Placed 3rd at Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Lake Buena Vista Junior open 2023
Played in Florida Highschool State Championship twice with team finishes of 3rd (2020) & 5th (2023)
Won the Top-50 Champions Gate Spring Open 2022
Top-10 finish at Florida Junior Tour Palm Harbor Open 2022
3rd overall on Space Coast Golf Tour 2022

Awards the 2023 Priddis Greens Junior Scholarship
Named MVP of 2023 All Saints Catholic School Varsity Team

Coach Philip Nelson – "Jadyn is the perfect fit for our team and culture! She may be small but she packs some speed in that swing! Jadyn will come right in and work hard and push our team competitively. I believe she will develop into a steady leader on our team and competitor in the MVC. Coming from Canada, her golf season is not very long, so she will flourish in our year long competitive environment. We are very excited to get Jadyn on campus in the Fall."

Elin Tynan – Pontyclun, Wales

Placed second in the 2023 Welsh Girls Championship
Advanced to quarterfinals at the 2022 Welsh Women's Amateur Championship
Competed for Welsh National Team in various international tournaments
Represented Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club in the Welsh Team Championships and won all matches to contribute win for the club to win best club in Wales
First Female Junior Captain at Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club in the club's history

Coach Philip Nelson – "Elin will be a great addition to our program next fall! She has played in tournaments all over the world and understands how to adapt. She has not been playing competitive golf that long and will develop really well and quickly when we get her here in our environment. Elin is a feisty competitor at heart and will thrive here in the US. She will bring a lot of fun, toughness, and fire to our team."

Tina Von Arx – Solothurn, Switzerland

Has been ranked as high as 573 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR)
Has competed for the Swiss national team since the age of 12
Won U16 Swiss National Match Play
Was a 3-time winner of the U18 Swiss National Junior Championships
Won two Swiss National Amateur Championships
Won the Memorial Olivier Barrias Championship at Crans Montana, Switzerland (71-71-69).

Coach Philip Nelson – "I am very excited to be adding a player of Tina's caliber and resume to our squad. She will bring a lot of experience and maturity as a Freshman and challenge heavily right away. She hits it a long way and has great mechanics around the greens. She is also just a great girl and fit for our team and family culture."
