Shimkus & Patterson Lead Racers After First Day of Texas State Invitational

The Racers play for the first time in the Lone Star State when they compete in the Texas State Invitational
The Murray State women's golf team played their first 36 holes of the spring 2024 season Monday in New Braunfels at the Texas State Invitational at Landa Park Golf Club.
Emily Shimkus and Patti Patterson led the Racers sharing 28th place. Shimkus carded scores of 76-79=155 and Patterson had scores of 80-75=155.
As the field of 15 teams plays the final round Tuesday morning, the Racers are in 10th place after rounds of 322-305=627.
