Patterson Leads Racers at MVC Golf Championship

The Racers play the MVC Women’s Golf Championship at Annbriar Golf Club Sunday and Monday
Playing in her first Missouri Valley Conference Championship, Murray State's Patti Patterson posted a 151 through 36 holes with a spot in 15th place.

With a score line of 77-74=151, the freshman led the Racers with only Sunday's final round to play at Annbriar Golf Club in Waterloo, Illinois.

The Racers carded a 315 in the morning session and shaved 10 strokes for an afternoon 305. The Racers (620) shared ninth place with Southern Illinois and two shots from ninth place Indiana State (618).

With rainy weather in the forecast for Tuesday, MVC Championship officials and coaches made Sunday a 36-hole day. The final round of the 41st MVC women's golf championship begins Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. with players starting from the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.
