Racers Voted Sixth In Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Poll

Junior Mary Hardy received preseason First Team All-Conference recognitions.
The Murray State women's soccer team enters the 2024 campaign voted sixth in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll, per the MVC's release Wednesday morning.
Missouri State and Drake were voted as the top two favorites in the conference for the upcoming season, with the Bears receiving 116 votes and seven first-place votes and the Bulldogs with 109 votes and three first-place votes. UIC, Northern Iowa and Valparaiso round out the top five.
Despite the Racers not among the top five in the preseason rankings, they were the only other program to receive a first-place vote.
Junior forward Mary Hardy was announced as Preseason First Team All-Conference. The Ballwin, Missouri native received First Team recognitions from the MVC after the 2023 season and was a member of the 2022 MVC All-Newcomer team.
In 2023, she was among the top three in The Valley in shots per game, points, points per game and goals.
Murray State opens the season at Cincinnati on Tuesday, August 15 at 6 p.m. CT at Gettler Stadium.
