Griselda Revolorio, Kate Stordy, Abbey MacDonald and Sydney Etter were all recipients of MVC Player of the Week awards.
Murray State women's soccer saw a clean sweep in the Missouri Valley Conference's women's soccer weekly awards with the league's announcement Tuesday afternoon. Junior Sydney Etter, sophomores Griselda Revolorio and Kate Stordy, and freshman Abbey MacDonald were all named the Player, Goalkeeper, Defender and Freshman of the Week.
Etter was named the MVC's Player of the Week after scoring a pair of goals and an assist last week. In a 4-1 victory over Austin Peay on Thursday, the Mascoutah, Illinois native scored the third goal of the day and assisted on Mackenzie Tucker's goal less than a minute later. In Murray State's 6-1 route over UT Martin on Sunday, Etter scored her third goal of the season in the sixth minute.
"Syd has been on a mission these first six games," head coach Matt Lodge said. "She has been consistent and dangerous throughout each game. Her defending is something that doesn't go unnoticed high up the field, so I'm glad she is also firing in the goals, too!"
Revolorio received Keeper of the Week recognitions for the second time in as many weeks after notching a 2-0 week behind a high-powered Racers offense that saw 10 combined goals scored. She knocked away eight total saves against Austin Peay and UT Martin, bringing her season total to a conference-leading 32 and sitting in a tie for the 15th-most saves in NCAA Division I.
"Back-to-back Keeper of the Week for Gigi is warranted," Lodge said. "She has been fantastic so far this season. Credit to Coach Emily Kelly and her work with our keepers—they are improving daily."
Stordy received weekly honors for the first time in her career after being named The Valley's Defender of the Week. The Calgary, Alberta native recorded her first two career assists against UT Martin, delivering a pair of corner set pieces into the box for two Mary Hardy header goals, one of which was the game-winner against the Skyhawks.
"Kate is improving each game and growing in confidence," Lodge said. "She was great on the ball this week and whipped in some great corners for her assists."
Stordy has played full time in all six matches this season and has not been subbed off in 15 of her last 17 appearances. She was also named an honorable mention in Top Drawer Soccer's Women's Team of the Week that was released Tuesday morning.
MacDonald earned Freshman of the Week recognitions after picking up her first two collegiate assists in Thursday's 4-1 victory over Austin Peay. Her two assists in a single match on Thursday was the first time since 2022 a Racer recorded two assists in a match, as well as the first time since the same season a freshman dished out a pair of assists in the same match.
"She started the season giving us minutes off the bench and forced he way into the starting lineup," Lodge said about his freshman midfielder. "I'm really happy for Abbey, she had a great week and will continue to grow as the season goes on. She really helps us play out and dictate play."
The Racers return to action when they travel to Lexington, Kentucky for a primetime matchup with the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex.
