Amundson Releases 2025 Schedule

Murray State softball to kick off season on February 7.
Murray State softball head coach Kara Amundon announced the team's 2025 schedule on Tuesday.
ÂThe Racers will host a pair of tournaments, the Velvet Milkman Classic and the Racer Classic. They will also compete at the South Alabama Tournament in Mobile, Alabama, the Skyhawk Invitation in Martin, Tennessee, and the Ole Miss Classic in Oxford, Mississippi. Â
ÂThe Navy and Gold will begin their third Missouri Valley Conference slate on March 12 when they host the Belmont Bruins. Conference play will feature nine series, with the Racers taking on Belmont, Bradley, Indiana State, Missouri State, UIC, UNI, Evansville, SIU, and Illinois State. Â
ÂMurray State will host series against Bradley, Missouri State, Evansville, and Illinois State and a standalone game against Belmont.Â
ÂThe MVC Championship will be hosted by Drake in Des Moines, Iowa from May 7-10. All 12 teams will compete for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, with the first through fourth seeds receving a first-round bye. Â
ÂThe Racers finished ninth in the MVC standings last season.
