Racers Receive MVC Weekly Honors

Valeria Chaikovskaia landed weekly awards from The Missouri Valley Conference, as announced by the league office in St. Louis.

Chaikovskaia was named Singles Athlete of the Week for the third time in her Murray State career.

Her straight set win proved to be pivotal for the CHaikovskaia and The Racers' 4-3 victory over the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. This win helped propel Murray State to their 4th consecutive win and 6 of the last 7. Chaikovskaia is now 21-7 for the year playing all matches at the #1 spot.

Murray State women's tennis has now received either a singles or doubles weekly award from the MVC league office for three consecutive weeks.

The Racers will begin MVC match play in Chicago, IL on Saturday, March 22nd. The Navy & Gold will host match play on March 29th in Murray against Valparaiso.
