Mistone named MVC Player of the Week

Murray State Baseball first basemen Luke Mistone was named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week the league announced Tuesday.
The junior from Upland Calif., accounted for seven extra base hits across four consecutive games as the Racers went 5-0 on the week. Mistone's tally included five doubles, a home run (Feb 25) and a triple. The latter came in the ninth inning of a tie game against Little Rock, as Mistone laced a ball down the right field line to score two and give the Racers a 6-4 lead. Mistone averaged .520 for the week.
