Sutton Named MVC Freshman of the Week

The freshman received MVC recognition after helping the Racers to three wins on the week.
Hannah Sutton of Murray State Racer softball was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week by the league office in St. Louis Mo. Â
Sutton started all four of last week's games at first base, contributing to wins over Austin Peay and UNI. The Avon, Indiana native posted a .533 batting average on the week with eight hits, including a double, a triple, and her first career home run home run. In Saturday's 16-15 thriller at UNI, Sutton put up the third most RBI in a single game in Racer Softball history with five. On the week, Sutton totaled 18 putouts and slugged .933. Â
