MSU Baseball Series vs Bradley Moved Ahead of Weekend Weather
4/2/2025 9:31:00 AM | Baseball
With impending heavy rain in the area, the Racers will play the Bradley Braves at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Forecasted heavy rain over the weekend has caused Murray State Baseball to move its home series against the Bradley Braves to Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Â
The series with Bradley begins Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday and Monday games, each with 1 p.m. starts.
Â
Moving the series to the all-turf surface at Capaha Park gives a better chance to get all three games in, instead of playing on the all-natural grass surface at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Kentucky.
Â
The change in venue also means the planned MSU Baseball Alumni Weekend will be postponed as well. The events that were planned this weekend included honoring 2024 MSU Hall of Famer, Daniel Calhoun, the 1975 MSU NCAA Team and MSU Baseball legend, Coach Johnny Reagan. These events will be moved to May 2-4 when the Racers host the Southern Illinois Salukis.
Â
MSU Baseball thanks the athletics department at Southeast Missouri State and Cape Girardeau Parks for making Capaha Park available for the Racers and Braves to play.
Live stats for this weekend's series will be available on GoRacers.com. There will be no stream for this weekend's game.
