Silva Named MVC Pitcher of the Week

Murray State Baseball Pitcher Isaac Silva was named Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week the league announced Monday
Murray State pitcher Isaac Silva was named MVC Pitcher of the Week following his complete game against Valpo Sunday.
Silva, a senior out of New Mexico, pitched nine innings Sunday allowing only one run on six hits with eight strike outs. He has 36 strike outs in 2025.
Silva's effort was the first nine inning complete game by a Racers' pitcher since Hayden Wyjna's shutout in 2022. His six wins are tied for second most in the MVC.
The Racers are back in action on Tuesday against North Alabama.
