Sophomore Pitcher Honored After Winning Two Against Evansville
Murray State Softball pitcher Raylee Roby was named Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office in St. Louis.
Raylee Roby was an anchor for the MSU pitching staff across their weekend sweep of Evansville. Roby picked up two wins on the weekend without allowing a single earned run. Pitching 12.2 innings across two games, the sophomore allowed just eight hits as batters hit just .178 against her on the weekend. In the second game of Friday's doubleheader, the Owensboro, Ky. native pitched a complete game, allowing just four hits with one strikeout.
