Racers Battle For MVC 1st Place in Terre Haute

Murray State Baseball has first place in the Missouri Valley Conference in sight as they head to Terre Haute to take on the Indiana State Sycamores Friday through Sunday at Bob Warn Field.

The Racers (28-9) are 10-5 in The Valley and looking for a program-first fifth-consecutive 30-win season and enter the weekend winners of 13 of their last 14 games since April 1. MSU won 10-3 Tuesday at North Alabama to push their road record this spring to 10-3.

The Sycamores (20-20) are 8-7 in the MVC and won their series with first place Southern Illinois (April 13), before losing their series last weekend at Evansville and have lost their last three after a 19-8 loss Tuesday at Illinois.

MSU trails in the all-time series with the Sycamores 4-16 and are 2-5 since joining the MVC in 2023.

After a game at SEMO (April 29), The Racers return home to Johnny Reagan Field (May 2-4) to host Southern Illinois on MSU Baseball Alumni Weekend. Festivities include honoring new MSU Hall of Famer, Daniel Calhoun, the 1975 NCAA Team and Johnny Reagan Day.
