MSU’s Scherer Named to MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

The Racers women's golf program played its third season in the Missouri Valley Conference in 2024-25
Murray State women's golf saw sophomore Ella Scherer honored by the Missouri Valley Conference as part of its 2025 All-Scholar Athlete Team as announced by the league office in St. Louis.
Scherer, out of Vine Grove, Kentucky, carries a 4.0GPA in her major of Accounting & Finance.
In her second season with the Racers, Scherer saw action in 23 rounds with a scoring average of 78.4. She turned in a runner up showing at the Jan Weaver Invitational on rounds of 72-74-69=215 and placed 36th at the MVC Championship on scores of 80-79-74=233.
To meet the criteria, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale). A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA. Eligible nominees must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship.
