2005: Played in 20 matches and made 18 starts...Totaled four assists on the season
2004: Sara made an immediate impact as a true freshman, starting all 20 of MSU’s matches...scored the game-winning goal in the 79th minute of the Racers’ 1-0 victory over Valparaiso on Sept 5...dished out three assists and totaled five points, which was fourth best on the team...two of her three shot attempts were on-goal.
BEFORE MSU: Played four seasons at Marquette High School under coach Chris Kenny...in 2004, her senior season, named all-conference and earned a spot on the North-South All-Star Game...named team’s Best Defender...in 2003, named all-conference second team...in 2001, named varsity MVP...also played volleyball at MHS, helping the Mustangs to a third-place state finish in 2003.
PERSONAL: Born Sara Lindsey Struve on April 13, 1986, the daughter of Jeff and Kathy Struve...graduated 90th in a class of 494 with a 4.0 grade-point average...a member of the honor roll in all four years...majoring in exercise science.
