Daniel Dulin enters his second season as assistant coach at Murray State. He will work with hitters and outfielders, and assist with recruiting.
Prior to joining the Racers staff, Dulin spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Hutchinson Community College. There he worked with the infielders and assisted with the hitters. At Hutchinson, he helped the Blue Dragons to a 138-87 record and a pair of Jayhawk West championships. In 2014, the Blue Dragons climbed as high as No. 8 in the national polls on their way to a 43-17 mark. It was the sixth 40-win season in school history and the second conference title in three years.
Prior to his time at HCC, Dulin spent two seasons on current Murray State assistant Andy Morgan’s staff at Coffeyville Community College. Dulin worked with the hitters and outfielders, while also serving as the recruiting coordinator. In his two seasons with the Red Ravens, CCC improved its win total both seasons. The 2010 Red Ravens finished third in the Jayhawk East, setting a school record for best conference finish in school history.
Dulin also has experience coaching in the summer. In the summer of 2010, he served as an assistant and third base coach for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod League. In 2008, he was an assistant coach for the Laramie Colts, helping guide the team to the Mountain Collegiate League regular season and postseason tournament championship.
Dulin began his coaching career in 2006 as an assistant coach at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, KS.
Dulin played second base at Highland Community College before earning his degree from Fort Hays State University. He received his master’s degree from Pittsburg State in 2014.
