At Murray State
Before MSU
- Goodale enters his first season with the Racers baseball program
- Goodale joined the Murray State baseball coaching staff in August 2023
- He will be working with the outfielders, coaching first base, and assisting with the offense
Before MSU
- Came to Murray after spending the 2021-23 seasons at Georgia Gwinnett College (NAIA) in Lawrenceville, GA
- Worked as the volunteer assistant working with the catchers, coaching first base, as well as doing player development and operations
- While at Georgia Gwinnett, the Grizzlies posted a record of 96-24 with two World Series trips and led the NAIA in six offensive categories in 2023
- Goodale helped the Grizzlies lead the country in runs (689), doubles (157), RBI (593), stolen bases (258), batting average (.380) and OBP (.477)
- He also coached the NAIA Player of The Year Ajay Sczepkowski, who had the first 30 HR-30 SB season in college baseball since JD Drew in the late 1990’s
- Before GGC, Goodale spent time as a hitting coach at Out Front Hitting
- Served the 2020-21 years as the head post-grad coach at Combine Academy in North Carolina
- Spent the summer working for Perfect Game in Fort Myers, FL
- Goodale spent two years as a graduate assistant at Southern Miss working in athletic facility and event management
- Spent the 2018 season as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, St. Ambrose (Iowa)
- He helped the 2017 squad reach the NAIA Opening Round after winning the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament title
- Goodale served as a team captain at St. Ambrose during his senior season
- He began his college career at Holy Cross College (Indiana) after a successful high school career at Indianaola High School in Indianola, Iowa, where he was a team captain as a senior in high school
- Goodale served as an intern during the 2019 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska
- He has spent the past three summers on the road running showcases and tournaments for various companies nationwide.
- Goodale earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing with an emphasis in leadership from St. Ambrose
- He also received his Master of Sport Management from Southern Miss
