2011: Started 36 games, with most starts coming at 1B and a few assorted starts coming at 2B…Appeared in 46 games for Murray State in 2011…Recorded two hits in a 7-2 win against Iowa, doubling and tripling while scoring twice…Homered in the first of two games against Evansville, going 3-4 at the plate and scoring three times to help MSU to a 7-3 win…Hit her second home run of the season in the second game of the series against Morehead State, scoring twice in the game as the Racers won 8-6…Hit home runs in both games against Alabama State, driving in three runs per game
2010: Played in 43 games for Murray State…started 38 games at SS and 1st base… went 3-4 at the plate to drive in and score a run against SIU Edwardsville…also stole a base and doubled against the Cougars…drove in a pair of runs in a 10-2 win at Belmont…homered to drive in a pair of runs against Jacksonville State… drove in two more runs in a 6-2 win against Bethel…went 2-4 with a pair of RBI in a 14-4 win at Eastern Kentucky.
Before MSU: A member of the Allen County varsity softball team since 2005 when she entered eighth grade…earned four District titles and went to the Regional Championship game three times, winning once…in her last two seasons Eards batted over .400, including a .434 mark her sophomore season..she tallied 70 RBI’s and 34 doubles in that span…named to the 2007 All-District First Team and the 2007 and 2008 All-Region Second Team...also played softball at Greenwood High School while in middle school…was part of the JV team in sixth and seventh grade and varsity team in eighth grade…also a member of the National Honor Society as a prep.
Personal: Born Stephanie High Edwards, Aug. 13, 1991 in Bowling Green, Ky….daughter of Rob and Kim Edwards…has two sisters, Whitney and Katelyn…majoring in nursing
