Claire Ward is entering her fifth season with Murray State and second as an assistant coach after serving as a graduate assistant.
Ward played for then assistant coach Beth Acreman from 2003-05 at Middle Tennessee where she was a three-time all-conference selection in the Sun Belt Conference.
As a freshman in 2003 she was the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year and ended her career at MTSU as one of only four players in program’s history to be named all-conference three straight years. Ward started all 60 games while at the school.
Ward attended Reid Kerr College in Ayr, Scotland and also played for the Scotland Junior National Team for four years.
She earned a degree in physical education from Middle Tennessee in 2006.
In 2010, Ward earned a master’s degree in humnan development and leadership from Murray State..
