Kevin Botterill

Kevin Botterill is in his second season as assistant coach with the MSU Soccer program, where he is responsible for coaching the Goalkeepers, as well as assisting with all other positions. He came to MSU after spending four seasons as head coach of the men’s and women’s soccer programs at Oakland City University in Evansville, Ind.
He is a native of Leeds, England, and led the Mighty Oaks men’s team to its first-ever post-season victory and coached the women’s team to its first-ever winning season. He is the winningest coach at Oakland City in both programs.
Botterill has also been busy in the club ranks, mostly recently with Jackson Purchase Football Club. He served as academy director for the Southwest Indiana Soccer Association and has directed and coached at numerous camps across the country. He also holds two diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, including one for goalkeeping as well as an FA Coaching certificate and is working on his UEFA B license.
Botterill played college soccer at the University of Durham and graduated in 2000. He earned a master’s degree from Wesley College in 2003. He resides in Murray with his 18 month old son Aiden.
