Jeff Tietz joined the Racers for his first school year in 2017-18 and is in charge of the strength & conditioning efforts Murray State's Olympic sports as he oversees the implementation and design for Track and Field, Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Soccer, Rifle, and cheer.

In 2016-17, he was director of strength for a private facility in East Tennessee working with High School, Collegiate, and Professional athletes.
Previously, Tietz was the assistant director of strength and conditioning to football and Olympic sports at Waldorf University. He handled hockey, baseball, and track and field, cross country, throws, and bowling.
He also worked with Olympic sports at Western Michigan University in 2013 where he worked on designing WMU Baseball’s program strength program and Winthrop University win 2015 where he was interim women’s soccer strength coach.

Tietz earned a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Grand Valley State University in 2012, and completed a Master's degree in sports administration at Waldorf University in 2016.
A native of Western Michigan, Tietz is CSCS and USAW certified.
