Ryan Smart

Ryan Smart joined Racer Athletics in September 2017, serving as the Operations Supervisor for CFSB Center and formerly for Lovett Auditorium. Smart brings over seven years of unique and diverse experience to Murray State from the National Football League.
As the Operations Supervisor, Smart is the primary contact for the CFSB Center for special events and day-to-day oversight of operations. Smart is responsible for daily maintenance, renovations, logistical operations and set-ups for all events for the CFSB Center. Smart is responsible for recruiting special events for the CFSB Center and its event spaces. Smart manages the full-time, part-time and event staff for CFSB Center.
Prior to arriving at Murray State, Smart spent seven years with the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL). He served in several capacities with Fan Experience, Event and Stadium Operations. During his time, he managed 500 plus event staff members on event days, full-time and part-time employees. Smart was instrumental in the planning and execution of the parking/traffic operations. He managed relationships with the local city and state agencies.
Smart was a part of two AFC West division championships in 2016 and 2017. He has been a part of operations for several major Arrowhead Stadium events at outside of the NFL season, including Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones & Ed Sheeran, U2 and Beck, Guns N’ Roses, One Direction, American Royal BBQ Championships, FIFA International soccer game, Fall Classic College Football games, Border Showdown between Missouri vs Kansas as well as Missouri vs BYU football games.
Once a student-athlete with the Morehead State University Football program from 2007-2010, Graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Business and Public Affairs in 2011 and Master of Arts in Business and Public Affairs in 2013 from Morehead State University while interning with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Prior to his employment with this Chiefs, Smart spent time Interning with his high school Alma Mater Southwestern Pulaski (Somerset, KY)
Ryan and his wife Kelsey, reside in Mayfield, KY with their daughters Emery and Lainey.
