Racers Continue Strong Performance At The OVC Outdoor Championship
5/11/2018 10:45:00 PM | Women's Track and Field
The Murray State women's track and field team finished the second day of the Ohio Valley Conference outdoor track and field championship tied for seventh place going into the final day of competition in Cookeville, Tennessee.
"I can't be more proud of the way these athletes competed and represented their school today. We emphasized the OVC meet all year and these kids have come out and put it on the line. We talk about #120 and everything it takes to achieve that and they took that to heart," said head coach Adam Kiesler after the second day of the OVC championship. "Coach Riggins and Coach Wallace did a great job with the jumps/multis and distance group to get them ready for this meet, and I can't thank them enough for that. Brandi Johnson our athletic trainer has helped each and every one of our athletes be able to compete during this three-day meet and for that the staff and team are great-full. Tomorrow is all about beating as many people as you possibly can and we look forward to trying to do that. We aren't done yet and I look forward to seeing what this great group of student-athletes can do."
