Bennie Purcell Courts History & Notes
Murray State University's men's and women's tennis teams play all home matches at the Bennie Purcell Tennis Courts on campus. Located next to Regents Hall on Chestnut Street, the facility features eight lighted, well-maintained hard courts that were renovated in 2025 to give the Racers one of the best playing surfaces in the game.
The facility is named in honor of legendary Murray State men's tennis coach Bennie Purcell, a longtime ambassador of the university and Racer Athletics who died in February 2016.
