2025 Football Gameday Information

The content you will find on this page is to assist all fans visiting Murray State University with all things Racer Game Day! Below you will find important game day and safety information that you will need prior to arriving to the stadium. It is important for us to communicate with you that our department and University leadership have been working closely with state and local officials to make all sporting events taking place at our University safe for the general public.
ADA/ACCESSIBILITY
Accessible seating is available at all MSU Athletic Facilities in accordance with governmental requirements for access and enhanced sight lines. Those in need of a wheelchair space or accessible seating for football games should visit or call the MSU Ticket Office at 270-809-3000 prior to game day. For non-ticketed events, please contact MSUAD Operations at 270-809-3369.Accessible parking is also available at all facilities. Vehicles are required to have a valid ADA Placard to be eligible to park in these spots. Should guests be displaced from ADA parking areas, please know Shuttle service is available on Football and Basketball Game Day to help patrons enter the facility either via bus service. ALCOHOL
Select alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at all Racer football home games.Fans will have the opportunity to purchase beer, seltzers, and other similar offerings at select concessions stands throughout the Roy Stewart Stadium concourse.
Alcohol will be sold on the South Concourse and at the kiosk near Gate 3, and will be managed by Sodexo. See map below under the "Concessions" section for a full map.
The following regulations will be in place for all alcohol transactions made at Murray State football events or events at Roy Stewart Stadium where alcohol is available for purchase:
- IDENTIFICATION CHECK WILL TAKE PLACE AT EACH TRANSACTION BY SODEXO. Fake IDs presented will be confiscated and individuals will be referred to law enforcement. Students presenting Fake IDs will be subject to the student conduct process.
- Sales will have a limit of TWO per transaction.
- Alcohol is NOT permitted to leave the venue.
- Alcohol sales will STOP at the END of the third quarter.
- Sales and consumption will be CONFINED to the SEATING BOWL ONLY.
ANIMALS
All animals, other than APPROVED service animals, are PROHIBITED inside Roy Stewart Stadium.ARTIFICIAL NOISE MAKERS
Artificial noise makers and similar equipment are prohibited from MSU Athletic Events, including bang sticks, drums, whistles, etc. This also includes lighting devices that may become distracting to athletes, including laser pointers, flashlights, etc.ASSUMED RISK
Guests and patrons attending Murray State Athletic Facilities assume all risks and danger of personal injury and all hazards arising form or related to the event, occurring prior, during, or after an event, including but not limited to parking lots and surrounding areas. MSU Athletics, the teams, and promoters are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property.BABY CHANGING STATIONS
Baby changing stations are located in the men’s and women’s restrooms on concourse level 3, directly in front of Gate 3 and Gate 4.BAG POLICY - CLEAR BAGS REQUIRED
Consistent with policies in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Missouri Valley Football Conference, and nationally, Murray State Athletics has implemented a clear bag policy that limits the size and types of bags that may be brought into home athletics events at Roy Stewart Stadium and the CFSB Center.The implementation of this measure is intended to enhance public safety while minimizing time spent searching bags at the gate, easing access into the stadium and arena.
Each ticket holder, including children, may carry one approved clear bag, such as a one-gallon storage bag, plus a small purse. The following bags will be permitted inside Murray State athletic facilities and are subject to search:
- Clear plastic bag that does not exceed 12" by 6" by 12".
- Clutch or small purse, with or without a strap, that does not exceed 4.5" by 6.5".
- Diaper bags and/or other medical supply bags (limit one per family).
- Large Purses
- Coolers
- Briefcases
- Backpacks
- Fanny Packs
- Mesh Bags
- Any bag larger than the permissible size.

BANNERS/SIGNS/FLAGS
Banners and signs are welcome at Murray State Athletic Events. To ensure that they do not interfere with the environment and other patrons, we ask all fans to adhere to the guidelines below:
- Item must be related to the event
- Item may not interfere with the view of surrounding guests or any sponsor/advertiser signage
- Item is prohibited from being mounted to any part of the facility in any way
- Item must not display any non-authorized commercial business, offensive language, pictures, or content as determined by Game Day Personnel
Murray State Game Day Personnel reserves the right to confiscate and remove any items at the discretion of Game Management. Refusal to remove items could result in ejection from the event.
CAMERAS
Video cameras or professional cameras are prohibited at all MSU athletic facilities unless the user is a credentialed media personnel. Small still cameras are permitted. Tripods, monopods, and camera lens longer than 6" (detachable or non- detachable) are not permitted.CONCESSIONS
All concessions are located on the Level 3 Concourse with various vendors on the same level.

CREDENTIAL POLICY
Credentials are issued for the sole purpose of providing venue access to an individual who is working on a specific assignment for a recognized news organization or an authorized provider of game-related services (as employee or agent) in connection with Murray State University (MSU), the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) & the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC), the NCAA, and the events, activities, and interviews, relating thereto (collectively hereafter as the “EVENT”). Credentials are non-transferrable and the MVC, MVFC, or MSU or its designee may at any time revoke this credential and/or the rights granted hereunder for any reason in its sole discretion. Any unauthorized use of a credential or violation of its terms may subject bearer and/or assigning news organization to ejection from the venue, revocation of the credential, denial access in the future, prosecution for civil or criminal trespass, and any other remedies available under the law. Unless expressly authorized in writing by MSU Athletics, the use distribution, exhibition, reproduction, adaptation, display, performance, or publication in any form of any photograph, drawing, film, audio, or video recording, account or description of the Event take or made by the bearer or his/her assigning news organization shall be limited to news coverage of the Event by the assigning news organization to which this credential is issued. The bearer of an assigned credential and his/her employer of assigning news organization (i) ASSUME ALL RISK INCIDENT TO THE PERFORMANCE OF SERVICES BY THE BEARER, ASSUME ALL RISK INCIDENT TO THE BEARER’S PRESENCE AT THE EVENT AND AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE CONFERENCES, ITS MEMBER INSTITUTIONS, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AFFILIATES, AGENTS, REGENTS, AND EMPLOYEES FROM AND AGAINST ALL LIABILITY, LOSS, DAMAGE, OR EXPENSE RESULTING FROM OR ARISING OUR OF THE BEARER’S PRESENCE AT THE VENUE, HOWSOEVER CAUSED WHETHER BY NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE AND GRANT PERMISSION BY THE INSTITUTION AND ITS DESIGNEES TO UTILIZE WITHOUT COMPENSATION THE BEARERS’ IMAGES, LIKENESS AND/OR VOICE IN ANY PHOTOGRAPH OR LIVE OR RECORDED VIDEO OR AUDIO DISPLAY OR OTHER TRANSMISSION OR REPRODUCTION OF THE EVENT OR IN ANY EXCERPT THEREOF. (ii) ACCEPTANCE OF THIS CREDENTIAL CONSTITUTES AGREEMENT BY THE BEARER AND MSU TO ABIDE BY THE FOREGOING CONDITIONS. DRONES
Murray State University has a “NO DRONE” policy at this time. Public use of drones on the campus or near campus is strictly prohibited.ELEVATORS
Located on Level 3, providing service to Levels 1-7 on Game Day. Access to President’s Box (5), Press Row (6), or Game Day Operations (7) is limited to credentialed personnel only.EMERGENCIES
In the event of an emergency, Murray State Athletics will initialize our department Emergency Action Plan working in conjunction with MSU Police and/or other Local and State agencies if needed. Should the facility need to be evacuated, instructions will be provided via the public address system and video boards. Game Day Personnel and ushers with assist you in safely evacuating the facility. To ensure the safety of our guests, we ask that you please move to in a calm and orderly manner.FACILITY ACCESS
Pre-Game: Guests and Patrons can enter Roy Stewart Stadium via concourse Gates 3, 4 and 6 and can access seats from the concourse. Guests are not permitted on the turf or in the team bench areas without a valid credential.In-Game: Field access is limited to credentialed personnel only.
Post-Game: Field access is permitted once service stairways are opened by Game Day Personnel.
FACILITY RENTALS
With the combination of rich tradition and renovated facilities, MSU athletics venues are the perfect backdrop for an upscale or casual event. FAN CODE OF CONDUCT
The Missouri Valley Football Conference and its member institutions are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all fans attending MVFC contests. We ask that all fans act in a responsible and courteous manner. Abusive language or disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcome. When attending an MVFC contest, fans are expected to refrain from the following behaviors:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive, or illegal in nature
- Intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that results in irresponsible behavior
- Vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning or intimidating language or obscene gestures
- Interference with the progress of the game (including throwing objects onto the playing surface)
- Verbal or physical harassment of opposing teams and their fans
- Failing to follow instructions of stadium personnel
FAN EMERGENCIES
Murray State Athletics is proud to partner with Txt Commander for anonymous, real-time text communication during events. Guests will now be able to text our MSUAD Operations staff at any time; before, during, or after a contest, to report any incidents, facility issues, venue emergencies, or feedback on their experience. Our operations staff will take this information to quickly dispatch event staff to the area, evaluate a concern, and compile information to enhance the fan experience at each of our events. Be sure to save the number, 270-809-3369, to interact with our staff.If a guest needs immediate assistance please notify the nearest Guest Services Personnel, Police Officer, or other Game Day Personnel. Guests can also report an emergency to 9-1-1, or MSU Police at 270-809-2222.
GATES
Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Fans may enter through gates 2, 3, and 6, on concourse level and both North and South gates on field level. Band and spirit squad may enter through gate 6, and students may enter through gate 6. Will Call is located at Gate 4 on the concourse level. Ticketed entry at the “Horse Gate” is prohibited.HOSPITAL
Murray-Calloway County Hospital is located 1.5 miles from campus and is a proud partner of Murray State Athletics. Local Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are routed through the hospital and patients are directly transported in the event of injury.Address: 803 Poplar St. Murray, KY 42071
JUNIOR RACERS KIDS CLUB
The Junior Racers Kid’s Club gives children the chance to connect with their favorite Racers athletic teams. Kids 12 and under are invited to join the Junior Racers Kid’s Club and get in on all the fun-filled action the Racers have to offer. Turn in any items to an usher, ticket staff, or other Game Day Personnel. Items will be held at Gate 4/Will Call.MARKETING AND SOLICITATION
No unapproved marketing will be allowed in/on/around Murray State Athletic Facilities and/or Events, including:
- Unauthorized distribution of materials directly promoting a place and/or business
- Soliciting donations of any kind
- Soliciting sales and/or vending of any kind
- Unauthorized decoration of banners, signs, etc., promoting commercial advertising
- Unauthorized corporate tailgate and/or corporate hosted events/promotion in/on/around Murray State Athletic Facilities and/or Events

MERCHANDISE
The University Bookstore has the largest selection of Racers Merchandise in the area including men’s, women’s and youth apparel, items for the home, one-of-a-kind souvenirs and many other items. Official Murray State University merchandise can be found at University Bookstore location just inside Gate 3 at Roy Stewart Stadium on game days. The University Bookstore main location is inside the Curris Center on the second level.PARKING
On non-game days, University Parking Policies are in effect and violators are subject to citation.On Game Day, majority of the parking lots surrounding Roy Stewart Stadium are reserved for our Racer Club Members. Shuttle service is available on Football Game Day to help patrons enter the facility. Reserved lots only pertain to Football (1-5, P). For information regarding your specific spot and/or lot, please contact the MSU Ticket Office at 270-809-3000. Public Parking is available on a first come-first serve basis for Football contests, located on the east side of Roy Stewart Stadium, near HWY 641. For all other Athletic Events, parking is not reserved, and is on a first come-first serve basis and located in adjacent lots to the respective facility.

Non-Reserved ADA Parking
ADA Accessible parking spaces are available in all of our lots Vehicles are required to have a valid ADA Placard to be eligible to park in these spaces. If assistance is needed to get to the facility, our Parking Attendants will help arrange a drop off location and point you towards our shuttle service (Football Game Days ONLY). All ADA spaces on the East side of Roy Stewart Stadium will be first come – first serve to the general public each game, no hang tag necessary. We will also have a new ADA lot for Non-Reserved ADA patrons located at Heritage Hall just off of Waldrop Drive. Two shuttle busses will be operating starting 90 minutes prior to kickoff through 1 hour post game on game days dedicated to the ADA Lots – One running from Gate 3 (Football) to Heritage Hall, and one running from these same gates through the Stadium Lots.
Reserved ADA Parking
In effort to better accommodate our guests, protocols for ADA parking for Football home games were amended prior to ’19-’20 seasons to provide a more streamlined experience for our ADA guests. All ADA spaces on the West side of Roy Stewart Stadium in Lots 1-5 will be designated RESERVED ADA PARKING. Spaces will be assigned/distributed on a first come – first serve basis. There will be a total of 22 spaces distributed to eligible guests. To receive one of these limited reserved parking spaces, you must hold a valid state-issued ADA Placard, please:
- Bring in your original parking permit you received in your ticket mailer, to the Murray State Athletics Ticket Office (Lower A entrance of the CFSB Center)
- Present your valid state-issued ADA placard to the MSU Ticket Office and provide the placard number for verification through the MSU Parking Office
PARKING - RV INFORMATION
Murray State is an RV Friendly campus for game day tailgating!A few things to note for public RV parking:
- RV's can enter no earlier than 4 p.m. the day prior to a game.
- RV's must leave the stadium lot by NOON the day following the game.
- Tow behind type trailers must be unhitched from the vehicle. Accompanying vehicles are NOT permitted in the stadium and must park in regular spots near the site.
- Utility Sources are not available – must hold water throughout visit. No dumping will be permitted.
- Generators are required to be properly operated and vented.
- RV Parking will be limited to the row of spots parallel to the MSU Bushes – once full, we will overflow into open parking areas.
- Coals and Trash are expected to be transferred to the appropriate barrels – these are stationed throughout the tailgating and RV areas.
- Red Barrels are labeled for coals/ash
- Golf carts, utility vehicles, and/or other external vehicles are NOT PERMITTED in the parking lot or surrounding areas of campus.
PROGRAMS
Programs are available on game day digitally via GoRacers.com/Programs and offer up-to-date stats and information about the Racers.PROHIBITED ITEMS
To ensure the highest level of safety and security, all guests can be subject to a courteous screening upon entry by law enforcement which on occasion, may include a pat-down screening by same-gender personnel (if available). All bags and vehicles can be subject to inspection upon entry. Persons that refuse to be inspected, patted down, and/or refuse to have their bags or vehicle inspected will not be admitted. By presenting a ticket or credential to MSU athletic personnel, guests consent to such inspections and waive any and all related claims that guests might have against MSU athletics, the teams and promoters. Alcohol, weapons, or any items the facility personnel deem dangerous will be confiscated.The following items are prohibited in the stadium:
- Animals (CFSB Center, Racer Arena, and Roy Stewart Stadium)
- Artificial Noise Makers
- Coolers of any type
- Fireworks – in venue or surrounding including fields and parking lots adjacent to facilities
- Flammable Liquids
- Laser Pointers
- Objects that can be used as a projectile or is deemed dangerous by MSUAD Operations
- Outside food and/or drink
- Tobacco – including e-cigs, vapors, smokeless, etc.
- Tripods and other camera mounts
- Unauthorized cameras with lenses longer than 4 inches, interchangeable, or telephoto lenses
- Weapons of any kind
RESTROOMS
Restrooms for home football games are located on the Level 3 and Level 4 concourse. Portable restrooms are also available around the facility.SECURITY
Security at MSU Athletic Facilities is provided by MSU Police. If you or another guest needs assistance during an event, please located the nearest Police Officer, Usher, or other Game Day Personnel and assistance will be provided.SPECIAL EFFECTS
The use of pyrotechnics and light shows (strobes, flash, etc.) may be part of events presented by MSU Athletics.SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttle service is available on Football Game Day to help patrons enter the facility either via bus service or golf carts (Football).TAILGATING
Tailgating is permitted at home athletic events, only on the day of the event. Tailgating is first come-first-serve unless in a pre-paid tailgating designated area (Football Game Day). Individuals attending tailgating events are expected to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of the nature and character of the university.Use of alcoholic beverages must not violate state and local laws. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by persons under 21 years of age is strictly prohibited. Open containers of alcohol outside the parking lots are strictly prohibited. Consumption of alcoholic beverages from their original containers is strictly prohibited. All alcoholic beverages shall be consumed from paper or plastic cups and not from cans or bottles. For safety purposes, glass beverage containers are prohibited. Kegs and other mass consumption sources of alcohol are not permitted. Drinking games are strictly prohibited.
Tent City (Homecoming)
In addition to the above guidelines, the following parameters apply to participation in the Tent City Events:
- Tailgating will be permitted within the walls of Roy Stewart Stadium in designated Tent City areas.
- Tent City will close thirty (30) minutes prior to kickoff, though spectators may remain in designated areas at the south end of the stadium.
Students are to adhere to any university officials request to comply with the above stated guidelines and shall be subject to sanctions should they not comply with requests. Groups with multiple violations of the above guidelines may be denied participation in Tent City activities due to a history of non-compliance.
NON-APPROVED PROMOTION IS PROHIBITED & ENFORCED ON SITE
Promotion of a business, individual or organization (excluding registered student organizations and departments on the MSU campus) is not permitted on the grounds of Murray State University. Promotion is defined as and not limited to: signage, banners, displays, grills, vehicles, tent design and color, branding, flags and distribution of materials and items. Anything with a company/business name, promoted individual name or organization name is deemed promotion. The above items are prohibited and are enforced on site for those that have purchased, visiting, borrowing or given tailgate spots. Vendors wishing to showcase their business OR host a business outing should contact Racer Sports Properties at 270-809-6813 to secure corporate advertising packages that include a designated tailgating spot in the tailgate area located in the Stewart Stadium lot.
TICKETS
All ticket information and Racer Club requirements can be found at GoRacers.com, under the “Tickets” tab. Individual game and season tickets for Murray State Football games can be purchased by contacting the MSU Ticket Office at (270)-809-3000 or on ticketmaster.com.
TOBACCO POLICY
Murray State University is a Tobacco Free Campus. This is also enforced at all MSU Athletic Events and surrounding areas.TRASH
Help keep your facilities clean! We ask all guests and patrons to clean up after themselves, and place all trash in provided containers.WEATHER DELAYS
Weather delays for MSU Athletic events are unusual, however lightning, strong winds, and heavy snowfall may delay or postpone a game or event. Should the facility need to be evacuated, instructions will be provided via the public address system and video boards. Game Day Personnel and ushers with assist you in safely evacuating the facility. To ensure the safety of our guests, we ask that you please move to in a calm and orderly manner.WILL CALL

MSU Facility and Game Management reserves the right to revoke the season tickets and game day ticket of those individuals whose conduct is determined inappropriate as defined by the Fan Code of Conduct, including the Season Ticket Member and their guests.
