- It has a capacity of 5,500.
- From 1954 to 1998, it was the home of MSU Basketball.
- MSU Volleyball has played here since 1998.
- For volleyball, Racer Arena is the nation's second-largest volleyball-only facility among NCAA Division I schools.
- In 2009, the facility saw a new wooden floor installed that replaced the SportCourt that had been used since 2002.
- Before the start of the 2011 season, Racer Arena got a face lift, getting a new coat of paint and banners added to the walls. The banners represent current volleyball seniors and the best players from the program's history.
- The volleyball locker room is comfortable and important piece to the MSU program.
- Individualized locker areas with nameplates and cushioned chairs provide privacy and comfort.
