Since opening in 1954, Racer Arena has been one of the favorite places for fans to watch games
It has a capacity of 5,500.
From 1954 to 1998, it was the home of MSU Basketball.
MSU Volleyball has played here since 1998.
For volleyball, Racer Arena is the nation's second-largest volleyball-only facility among NCAA Division I schools.
In 2009, the facility saw a new wooden floor installed that replaced the SportCourt that had been used since 2002.
Before the start of the 2011 season, Racer Arena got a face lift, getting a new coat of paint and banners added to the walls. The banners represent current volleyball seniors and the best players from the program's history.
The volleyball locker room is comfortable and important piece to the MSU program.
Individualized locker areas with nameplates and cushioned chairs provide privacy and comfort.
The Racer volleyball ready room provides the team with an area to meet in comfort and style. Several couches and chairs allow the Racers to sit comfortably during pre-practice or pre-match meetings, while the hardwood floors provide a touch of charm.
A large-screen TV allows the team to review matches and match preparation films.
