Jeff Martin – Basketball, 1985-1989
- Martin is still the all-time scorer with the Racers on 2,484 points.
- Finished his career as the 39th leading NCAA Division I scorer (No. 1 among Kentucky schools).Â
- He was a two-time OVC Player of the Year and three-time First Team All-OVC selection.Â
- Martin averaged more than 20 points per game three years, with a high of 26.0 as a junior.
- Finished his career holding or sharing 14 school records, including career and season scoring, scoring average, field goals and three-point accuracy.Â
- His No. 15 has been retired at MSU.
- Was MSU’s highest professional draft selection in 1989 as the fourth choice in the second round and the 31st overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers.Â
- Also played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) with the Grand Rapids Hoops 1991-1992.
- Played in Europe from 1992-98 with teams in Italy, Spain and France. He also played in Venezuela in the 1997-98 season.
- He played in the International Basketball League (IBL) with the Las Vegas Silver Bandits 1999-2000.
- His final pro season was in 2000-01 with Montpellier, France 2000-2001.
