Floyd Burdette

Floyd “Red” Burdette – Basketball, 1936-1938 (Deceased)
Burdette was an All-SIAA basketball player in 1936, 1937, and 1938. He led the Murray team in scoring each of those years. He was a co-captain of the 1938 team. During his three years of varsity play, Murray won 72 games and lost only nine. He is a former head coach at the University of Alabama, and presently head coach at University of Tennessee, Martin Branch. (Ledger & Times, May 26, 1967)
