Houston “Hound” Elder – Football, 1932-1935 (Deceased)
Elder was a member of Murray’s only undefeated, untied team in 1933, and according to Roy Stewart, who coached him, was one of the sharpest passers ever at Murray. He was named to the All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team in 1933.
Murray won 18 games and lost only 8 during the three seasons Elder played.
Originally from Marion and a graduate of Marion High School, Elder now lives in Ashland. (Murray State Alumnus, 1973)
