Jill Doty-Misner

Jill Doty – Women’s Track and Volleyball, 1988-1993
One of the original two-sport student-athletes at Murray State with Volleyball and Track & Field from 1988-93.
Competed for Coach Oscar Segovia in volleyball and Coach Margaret Simmons in track & field.

Volleyball
- Was the first women’s volleyball player to be inducted into the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame.
- Named to the OVC Freshman Team in 1988 and also All-OVC second team.
- Was All-OVC First Team in 1990 and 1991.
- Finished her career holding seven MSU program records.Â
Track & Field
- Was part of the team that set the MSU indoor sprint medley relay record and outdoor 400 meter relay record in 1993.
- Was honored as part of the GTE Academic All-District Team Award in 1991.
- In 1993, was awarded the OVC Academic Medal of Honor.
- Graduated from Murray State with a B.S. degree in Education.

After Murray State
- Earned Master’s in Sports Administration from Eastern Illinois University.
- While attending EIU, she taught elementary physical education and assisted with the volleyball program.
- Was assistant volleyball coach at Southern Illinois University for eight seasons.
