- Recruited by Coach Joe Pannunzio and also played for Coach Matt Griffin.
- One of the most tenacious players in Racers' history having overcome two season-ending injuries in 2004 and 2007.
- Even so, Williams still became a three-time All-OVC selection and in 2008.
- OVC Defensive Player of the Year in 2008 and Walter Camp All-America pick.
- Just the second Racer to be named a finalist for the Buchanan Award as he finished fifth in voting.
- In 2003, saw action in five games.
- In 2004, Missed entire season with a hip injury.
- In 2005, he led the OVC in tackles (14th NCAA).
- In 2006, Led the OVC and finished seventh in the nation with an average of 11.1 tackles per game.
- Started first nine games of the season before suffering an injury and missing the final two games.
- Had 100 tackles, including 51 solo stops...had 5.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks...forced one fumble and recovered two fumbles.
- Had five games with double-digit tackle performances...had 14 tackles in the Racers’ season opener against Missouri...two weeks later he totaled a season-high 17 tackles against Indiana State, that performance tied for the second-most tackles in one game in the OVC during the 2006 season.
- Had 14 tackles against Samford, 15 against then-No. 16 Eastern Illinois and 10 before being injured against Southeast Missouri.
- In 2007 was selected Preseason All-OVC Linebacker.
- Appeared in the season opener against Louisville before suffering a season-ending injury after making seven tackles.
- In 2008, totalled 179 tackles in 12 games with an amazing two games with more than 20 games.
- Had 23 tackles against Illinois State and 21 tackles against Eastern Illinois.
- Had eight sacks and two fumble recoveries and a pair of interceptions.Â
- Before Murray State, played for the Murray High School Tigers for Murray State hall of famer, Coach Rick Fisher (Inducted in 1981).
- Earned Kentucky State High School Athletics Association (KHSAA) All-State honors in 2002.
- Selected to play on Kentucky All-Star Team...was an
- All-WKC player as a junior and senior and earned his team’s offensive, defensive back and receiver of the year awards as a senior.
- As a senior in 2002, he had 800 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving and 25 touchdowns, with five blocked kicks, four interceptions and 50 tackles.
- Also played baseball and ran track for MHS.
