MSU Takes Second At Southeast Invite

Sophomore Lauren Wilson earned her third-straight top-4 finish to lead the Murray State women's cross country team to a second-place finish at the Southeast Invitational on Saturday in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
Wilson, a native of Louisville, Ky., covered the 5-kilometer course in 19 minutes, 19 seconds for a fourth-place finish.
MSU scored 55 points to finish second to host Southeast Missouri, while Arkansas State was third with 60 points.
Junior Audra Herndon (Boring, Ore.) was 10th with a time of 19:54, while sophomore Megan Rainville (Greenville, Ind.) was 14th with a 20:16.
Sophomore Heather Vincent (Hawesville, Ky.) earned a 15th-place finish with a time of 20:20, followed by freshman Amber Bivens (Hawesville, Ky.) in 16th with a 21:00.
Sophomore Trista Curtis (Louisville, Ky.) was 17th with a 21:13, followed by freshman Betsy Hall (Charleston, Ill.) in 22nd with a 23:00.
MSU will take a week off from action before hosting the Ohio Valley Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Futures Golf Club in Puryear, Tenn.
