Lady Racers To Be Unveiled At 'Fan Jam' On Thursday, Oct. 30

A new era in the men's and women's basketball programs at Murray State will officially begin as the teams are unveiled for the first time in 2003 at 'Fan Jam' on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Regional Special Events Center.
'Fan Jam' will include player and coach introductions and live scrimmages featuring the 2003-04 Racers and Lady Racers, and one lucky MSU student will have a chance at receiving free tuition for a semester by hitting a half-court shot.
Following the scrimmages, the MSU men's and women's players and coaches will be available for an autograph session with the fans, and free 2003-04 MSU schedule posters will be available for everyone.
"It's always an exciting time when a new season begins," said MSU women's basketball head coach Joi Williams. "Fan Jam is our season-opening event, and we really urge our fans to come out and have fun with us on Thursday night."
Both Williams and MSU men's basketball head coach Mick Cronin arrive in Murray following successful stints as assistant coaches at some of the top programs in the country.
"We're excited to get the season under way," Cronin said. "We're lucky to have some of the best fans in the nation at Murray State, and we're looking forward to spending some time with them at Fan Jam."
