Reception For Incoming Coach Joi Williams Set For Friday At RSEC

A reception for incoming Lady Racers head coach Joi Williams will be held on Friday, May 16, at 12:15 p.m. in the Murray Room of MSU's Regional Special Events Center. The public is invited to attend.

The reception enables the public to meet and greet Coach Williams as she prepares for her inaugural season at Murray State.

Williams, 36, comes to Murray State from Clemson, where she served one season as an assistant coach. Prior to that, she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Florida for 12 years, where six of her recruits advanced to play in the WNBA.

Murray State opens its 2003-04 campaign with a home exhibition game on Nov. 8 against the St. Louis Gold Stars. The Lady Racers open their regular-season schedule on Nov. 21-22 at the Marshall Invitational.
